Completion of the first YouthBuild Project – Partnership between Claverhouse and Barnardos.

19 customers participated on the first YouthBuild programme which commenced in December 2007.

13 customers on Claverhouse New Deal ETF Option.

6 customers on Claverhouse Get Ready for Work Programme.

All customers completed a 13 week programme aimed at overcoming any identified barriers to employment well as gaining the necessary work ethics to sustain long term employment.

So successful was this project that 17 of the 19 individuals selected, completed the 13 week programme and entered full time employment. In addition to this, three of these individuals have also been offered and accepted full apprenticeships with their organisations and will commence their Apprenticeships on the 4th August 2008.
