Get Ready for Work is a voluntary programme which offers additional help and support to those clients aged 16 -18 who have recently left school or college.
GRfW is a 6 - 26 week programme, depending on the needs of the individual. The main aim of the programme is to assist unemployed young people into employment or progression into Apprenticeships.
The design of the programme is adaptable to the individuals, allowing for a variety of training opportunities and work experience options, personal development and vocational training, through a training plan suitable to them.
Elements of the programme will include training in motivation, confidence, communication, interview techniques, help with compiling a CV, completing application forms and writing letters of application.
We also work closely with Fairbridge, an organisation which allows the young people to participate in an access course, which includes a 3 day residential course; this has been successful in the past and plays a large part in the team building option of the course.
