Drawing on nearly 15 years experience of providing direction for employment by offering guidance and training in jobseeking, career
guidance, basic skills training and assessment, Claverhouse Group was, and still is in an ideal position to offer assistance under the New Deal initiative.As a member of the Environment Task
Force consortium, Claverhouse has worked closely with Dundee City Council in developing a range of projects suited to men and women with a variety of interests. Projects will benefit the local
community through improving home insulation, installing security measures for council tenants, erecting fencing, landscaping and paving areas, and other general improvements to the living environment. As part of the Education and Training consortium, led by Scottish Enterprise Tayside, full-time training opportunities leading to national qualifications are provided in subjects including
engineering, woodwork and construction. Claverhouse also has the contracts for both Gateway to Work (18 - 24), and the New Deal 25+ programmes for the Dundee area. Support for new
deal clients with a range of basic development needs such as literacy, numeracy, communication or organisational skills is provided in a small group situation at a pace suitable to the individual's rate of
progress. |
