Claverhouse Group has been selected to run the latest New Deal Pilot Project for clients on Incapacity Benefits in Dundee and Angus. Working in partnership with Angus Council Training Services, a series of 3 day events entitled Customer Options will be held for groups of clients seeking to return to work after a period on Incapacity Benefit.

Jim McGovern, MP for Dundee West, launched the pilot project on 8th September 2006. Speaking to the partners from Claverhouse and Angus Council, he stressed the importance of this project in giving people back some hope and self-respect. As an MP he has been heavily involved in the planning of initiatives for people on Incapacity and other Benefits, locally and at Westminster,  and has seen first hand the difference projects like Customer Options can make.

As well as launching the Customer Options project, Mr McGovern took the opportunity to see in action the other New Deal initiatives run by Claverhouse, some of which are running at success rates as high as 54% into jobs.
